Discovery Pathway

What is it?

The Discovery Pathway was created to help us understand that life has been designd for us and in the moments where we expereince our souls being stirred, it is a marker to the true course that the Designer inteded for us to take.  The invitation to come along on an adventure that will take you the rest of your life to complete, for this is not a day hike or a camping trip, this is a journey of the soul as we learn to experience and be led by God in our everyday lives.

How does it work?

The Pathway is divided up into seven individual stages.  Each stage has four sections which include Bible study, space for journaling and reflection, moments of decision, and a listing of additional resources to help further the discovery of that particular stages focus.

Along the Pathway (as one completes the stages) there are three core classes offered that compliment the material being covered in the Pathway.  The three classes are:
Introduction to Discovery Church      (Belong Class) Discovering how God made you         (Serve Class) Inviting others to walk with God        (Reach Class).

When can I get started?

The very first time you attend Discovery Church you can pick up a booklet.  You don't have to wait until you've been there awhile or get permission...you just pick up the booklet and start walking...it's that simple!

Our desire is to help people discover new direction in life...together!  For us, that means helping others to take steps towards God that lead to a changed life, whether that is for the first time or you've been in relationship with God for years.

How to get here!
"The greatest challenge the church faces today is to be authentic disciples of Jesus"
- Dallas Willard

"In the spiritual life only one thing produces genuine joy and that is obedience."
- Richard Foster

"Many Christians have what we call a 'cultural holiness'.  They adapt to the character and behavior pattern of Christians around them.  As the Christian culture around them is more or less holy, so these Christians are more or less holy.  But God has not called us to be like those around us.  He has called us to be like Himself.  Holiness is nothing less than coformity to the character of God!"
- Jerry Bridges

"We must assess our thoughts and beliefs and reckon whether they are moving us closer to confomity to Christ or farther away from it."
- John Ortberg

"Jesus tapped me on the shoulder and said, 'Bob, why are your resisting me?'  I said, 'I'm not resisting you.'  He said, 'You gonna' follow me?'  I said, 'I've never thought about that before!'  He said, 'When you're not following me, you're resisting me!"
- Bob Dylan
